This image has all the important aspect of a good composition. It has: a good foreground with action in one of the intersections of the rule of thirds, it provides leading lines to help frame the compostion and it provides a good sense of narrative. Narrative is about telling a story or providing a sense of mystery in the composition.
As you think more about composition, your images will become more organized and focused on the center of attention. This process takes time and your ability to secure good compositions means that you will need to spend more time thinking and planning your relationship with the subject. You need to know where you will be in relation to the subject and when to trip the shutter. Knowledge of composition, locating yourself in relation to the subject and timing the shutter of the camera are all critical to successful photography.
